Hi 3D-ers,
If you have USENET newsgroup access, try to read comp.graphics.animation You'll
find some interesting discussion about animation program, including 3D Studio.
BTW, there is very offensive discussion that attack 3D Studio. It says about
low quality rendering, and other stuff. Go 3DS-ers, defend our favourite
program there.

There are always going to be folks who attack things, Izak. Just take a look
at Bosnia, South Africa, Israel, Rawonda, Korea, China etc (this week). I've
always taken the course of letting our demo reels speak for ourselves, so we
don't really need "defending". Let the spears fly! 3DS is what it is and it's
proud of it!

People who arbitrarily attack 3DS (or any other well-thought out program or
concept for that matter) are usually insecure about their own methods or
thoughts. Attacking other entities can help to justify or give some meaning to
their own methods (or so they think). If they weren't deathly afraid of their
methods being inferior, they'd never waste their time with such drivel. The
bottom line is that this is THEIR problem, and has nothing to do with 3DS, it's
developers, or it's dedicated users (IMHO).
Things that work well speak for themselves much louder than we could.

Isn't it funny that the majority of these folks over Internet complaining about
3D Studio don't own _any_ real modeling/rendering package? It's like a bunch of
school kids comparing Porshes and Jaguars and Ferraris… Like any of them
really knows what they're talking about…
Is that the case? I don't have much time for any other on-line "fun" other than
good-'ole ASOFT, here, but it sure makes sense. I'll slightly revise your
sports car analogy and say it's probably like a bunch of kids comparing
*stolen* sports cars that they have no licence for, and no instructions to use
them! But it probably makes 'em feel good to act "in the know" about a program
as prolific as 3DS…
