This message is for HyperChem users. Has anyone experienced a freeze up of the
system when selecting the file/preference/tool option? It might also occur for
other options but primarily the tool option. I am using HyperChem 3.0 under
Windows.

I have not heard of this problem before. The only time I have heard of
HyperChem freezing under normal use is on some old 386 25MHz machines. Is this
what you are using? If so, let me know and we'll see how to verify the
problem.
You may not know that Autodesk no longer sells HyperChem. It is being sold now
by Hypercube, its developers. The main forum for electronic support is now on
Internet: there is a user's group to which you can subscribe by sending an
email message to hyperchem-request@hyper.com bearing the message
subscribe hyperchem
It is an email group, so the messages will go to your CIS mail box.
