I have an A2386sx BB. It works fine.. except once in a while the keyboard
locks up. The BB is still working fine and just thinks I'm not typing anymore.
Since I can't send anymore keystrokes I have to do a PCReset on the amiga side
and start over again. This seems to happen when I type fast or hold a key down
for repeating (like an arrow key etc). It doesn't always happen either.
Anybody else have this problem and know how to fix it?

the only time I experience this is when my Amiga mouse pointer has
wandered off the PCWindow. (I use a seperate SVGA display and a switch my
monitor). Are you using any TSR's?
No, not using any TSR's. And just using the PCwindow since I don't have a VGA
monitor. It always seems to happen when I'm typing too fast or hold down a key
for too long… well not always as it's one of them intermitent things. But it
does happen to me every day.

My keyboard on my 386 BB would also occaionally lock up. I am probably
using a 'double kill' approach. Enforcer is running on my system, and
'CPU NODATACACHE' is also used in my user-startup file. My system is a
stock 2000HD with a GVP G-Force 030 (25 MHZ) with an MMU (and math
coprocessor 68882).
Either enforcer or CPU NODATACACHE is supposed to be adequate.

Someone once suggested that it was not only the keyboard that locked up but the
PC Color or PC Mono window(s) would also freeze showing you any movemen on the
screen. My keyboard used to lock up until I got a separate VGA card and shared
my 1960 monitor between the two (2) sessions with a manual A/B switch. So far
the keyboard has responded to every single activity. Just a thought… Catya,

I haven't gotten around to the A/B switch yet. The 386 BB outputs its
video to a NEC 1401P3A multi-sync. The Amiga video still goes to a C=
1084S Video Monitor.
I have to get a few irons out of the fire.

I just recently installed an accelerator in my machine, but I have been having
this problem since I bought my BB. And that was with just a regular 68000
A2000.
The PC itself doesn't crash. For example, any program running will continue to
run, even a d/l. It's like someone unplugged the keyboard. Doing a PCReset
will give me back my keyb, but I loose whatever I was doing at the time of the
crash. Well it's not really a crash is it…
I've seen the same problem from time to time until I used my
'double-kill' technique which seems to work for my setup. Clarence
evidently found yet another solution.

I've had that problem a few times but in my case I had accidentally
brought up the PC Window's help screen, which locks out the keyboard. I
kept rebooting without realizing this, because I was using a VGA card and
monitor and not jumping back to the PC window to check.
