I'm an Sound Blaster (version 1.51) user and I also have a Panasonic Optical Disk Drive (model LF7010 used with Corel Driver SCSI Support). If I read files "*.VOC" biger than 70000 bytes from the Optical Disk, the sound abort and the PC hang up. But if I use them from the hard disk of the PC I don't have any problem. I need to read files up to 3 megabytes. I have a Intel 80386 processor with 640 KB + 3074 KB XMS (DOS 4.01). Thanks for any sugestion. Pablo.-

Post your config.sys, so I can see how the COREL driver is set up. Are you using an ISA, EISA or Micro Channel Adapter. Which one, i.e Panasonic's (junk) or a Corel, Future Domain, or Adaptec. We've had a lot of similar programs have similar problems reading from the opticals, mainly speed of Xfer related, and have sold about 30 of the drives (user the Reflection Systems name). Hope I can help, 'cause I love the drives. – Jeff Fortney – Memory technologies, Inc.
