Is anyone interested in geophysics? I'd love to hear from you. Thanks in advance for your replies.

>>Is anyone interested in geophysics? I'd love to hear from you.<< Sure, but my knowledge is second hand. My brother is a geophysisisisisst. : ) (can't even spell the word). We play around with his old Sercel 96 channel with stacker, but the Bison seems to be more dependable. Or were you talking about earthquake geophysics? Are you in the business? Gas sniffer? Oil hound? Enviornmental? Don't feel bad if I don't respond real fast. I'm on and off the net inconsistantly. Craig

I'm a geophysician turned computer geek, worked for 10+ years as a minerals (non-seismic) geophysicist in various and sundry places around the world. Yours in freedom, -=< Angus Scott-Fleming >=- GeoApplications Tucson, Arizona

Yes: I've been in offshre seismic for about 15 years. I'm actually an Astrophysicist turned Surveyor, but you do't work alongside snake wrestlers and grease pencil wavers for that long without picking up something. Rob

Hi, Greg– Welcome to the forum/section! I am interested in geophysics in an amateur way. We have kicked around the source of the earth's magnetic field and similar topics here from time to time, and there are more pros who have turned up here than you have heard from as yet. Tell us something about your specific interests, and it may draw some of the others out. –Doug
