Nik, I am a beginner on multimedia. I like to know how to add sound and interactivity to .flc files made with Animator Pro or Playmation. Any good tool that you would recommend, or I better learn aaplay.dll( MCI command compatible? ) and add code to control everything myself. Any good reference book on .flc or Animator Pro? I am interested in edutanment type of applications. Thanks. Mei-Tien

"I like to know how to add sound and interactivity to .flc file" Hi Mei-Tien, Autodesk tools are a bit different than what you're looking for: we emphasize the animation and not the sound. Our only sound device is our Windows Player (you can download it here if you don't have it: WINPLA.EXE) which basically allows you to associate playing a flic at the same time you play some sound. The AVI file format allows you to create a file with both sound and animation imbedded; you might look into that. The AAPLAY.DLL you refer to is the basis for some of the Asymetrix, etc., packages which allow you to control presentations in an interactive way. There are some books that will help you, but probably most of them will be about Grasp or Toolbook, rather than Animator, since the Animator books Using Animator, Inside Autodesk Animator, and The Best Book of Autodesk Animator are currently out of print.
