#PCI Viper not VLB Viper

I was told that you are the Vibrant Rep.
Do you have a 3DS driver for the PCI Viper? I just downloaded the
VIB3DS.ZIP from lib.#9. This only seems to have support for the VLB viper
and not the PCI viper card.

Just as a clairfication, I am not the 'offical' Vibrant Rep (That is Brian
Massey). I am the programmer who works on 3DS Inline and Liquid Speed (our 3D
Studio accelerator product), so I like to lurk about the ASOFT forum to check
for techinical questions.
The VIB3DS.ZIP in Lib #9 is version 1.0.1 of our driver. The selection for
Diamond Viper should work correctly on both the PCI and the VLB. There were
some problems with the PCI version with 1.0.0 of the driver, but the 1.0.1
release should have fixed any problems with PCI. What results are you getting
using the Diamond Viper cardlist entry?

Chuck – the VIB3DS.ZIP file that's in What's New (Lib 9) has been updated from
1.0.1. It's 1.0.2.P1 (tongue-twister!). As you mentioned to Steve (Hi Steve!)
the original Vibrant drivers which shipped with 3D Studio do not support the
PCI Viper except through VESA. The What's New drivers do.

Since you have responded to a previous like question here I thought Id quiz
you.
I just got a dec 560 with a VIPER PCI card installed. I also have installed
the updated driver availabe in this forum.
When I try to fire up 3ds (configured for the viper) i geyt the message that
the "MEMADDR=xxxx in my viper ini file is invalid. this was origionally set at
1000 though I've tried everything it suggest to no avail.
Any thoughts??

Hmmm. Does the product work ok with that INI file and the Windows driver? If
so, then maybe that weird address is valid.
