Nik:
The tradeshow configuration was put together by Raymond Jones at Micron.
Micron uses 3DS in their art department, and is a registered hardware
developer.
In any case, the tradeshow computers are specifically configured for
3DS.
FWIW, when you order a Micron, ask for the Platinum configuration, and
you get 64 MB RAM and 2 GB hard disk, in addition to a 4 MB Matrox MGA.
I'd say that is a pretty good 3DS configuration.

Thanks Evan, your comments are informative.
After asking around Autodesk about the Micron "recommendation", I came up with
a few replies:
The systems that were at NAB:
Pentium 60Mhz
32MB RAM
540MB Hard Drive
Diamond Viper PCI bus Video board
PCI BUS IDE Cache controller w/16MB RAM
Double Speed CD ROM drive

Nik-
There is no "official PC" for trade shows. Micron is a company we are using on
occasion for trade shows. Internally, the "official PC" for Autodesk is
Compaq.
