You're right, but I've got 32megs and I almost always swap out. I wish RAM
prices would go down so I could get some more, but I can't afford to get
another 32megs for two machines (the third is ISA and will only take 32megs).

it totally depends on the stuff you do. When I was doing architecture 48mb-64mb
was essential – but now I'm out of that area almost completely and haven't
needed anything close since then. I've mainly been doing multimedia and games
since then and 16mb has been fine OR using somebody else's equipment <g>.
