John, it totally depends on the stuff you do. When I was doing architecture 48mb-64mb was essential – but now I'm out of that area almost completely and haven't needed anything close since then. I've mainly been doing multimedia and games since then and 16mb has been fine OR using somebody else's equipment <g>.
