It is both a statistical and action type of baseball game. The screens
are set up similar to watching a game on television, they zoom in and out with
TV effects like that. You can choose any stadium that you want to play in or
create your own stadium! It has digitized sounds similar to One On One's but
the sounds are even better. Keep in mind that this was _not_ a finished
product and there probably will be changes made prior to it's release.

I have put off buying a baseball program because I have been waiting for
some info on EW Baseball. Can't wait! Glad I caught this thread.

Mary,
It's pretty easy to keep from buying a baseball program when
only ported garbage like SSI's Computer Baseball is available. I agree with
you, I say they should suspend all other activities and get out EW baseball, I
mean like yesterday!!! (sorry for the run on sentence).

p.s. I'd still like to see Random House port APBA's baseball game to the
Amiga.

Incompetence doesn't gall me any less now than ever. I'd like to see
any kind of good baseball game on the amiga. HAVEN'T SENT for my upgrade yet
for gridiron. original was a good game except for pro level, which I felt
favored overpowering computer players over higher intelligence.

I haven't seen any of the other baseball programs. I was afraid that
if I saw one I wouldn't be able to wait and would waste my money on an inferior
program. Too bad EA didn't get EWBaseball out for the World Series last fall.
I was so crazy about baseball then, that I wanted to go round up the old gang
from elementary school!! Know what I mean?

Mary,
I know the feeling. MicroLeague baseball, EW baseball, and
Gamestars Championship baseball should all be out this spring, so don't waste
your money on imitations. Spring training starts in 5 weeks. Go Royals!!!!!

In the future you will be able to choose from three baseball
programs! First will be Elctronic Arts's Earl Weaver Baseball, after
that there will be Activision-Game Star's Championship Baseball (Now
playing on a C/64 near you!) and finally Micro League Baseball from
Micro League Sports.
Hope you can make a choice!

Dear Ken,
Thanks for the information. I have bought two Activision programs and
have been rather disappointed with them so I think that one is out of the
running. I have eight or nine EA products and on the whole have been very
satisfied with their quality. I haven't had any experience with MicroLeague.

Sounds great! Is it an arcade type game as well? i.e., will the user be able
to select pitches, swing the bat, field, throw to a base, etc.?

Earl Weaver Baseball is both a statitical style game, with some arcade
action! It has the best of both!
