Help anyone, I lost a message with the tape numbers for some Maxell "drop out
free" Hi8 tapes if anyone has the numbers for this or any other Hi8 tapes that
work well for single frame recording please post them to me. I need the get
some more tape and would like to try some different types out. thanks in
advance! 🙂
I've been using Maxell P6-60HMBQ. Haven't seen any dropouts yet with this
stuff, unlike Sony which is loaded with dropouts. I only use it for camera
acquisition, though. Check with John Ellis, I believe he does single frame
with Hi8.

Ask for Ruth Ann Fowler and tell her I, (Scuba Tech, Inc.) sent you. She is
carrying a new grade of Maxell that is supposed to be certified dropout free.
It's metal particle for Hi 8. I was just there today and she showed it to me,
so I know she has it in stock. Her prices are usually pretty good and they
ship UPS-COD. Let me know if it is any good for your application."
