I caught the demo at the Philly users group as well and can concur with Fred's
review. Martin Doudoroff was indeed the presenter and he had about 75
attendees drooling for the new routines. The realtime gouraud shading in some
of the interfaces was extraordinarily useful. After demoing several routines he
had me conjuring up ideas for uses just so that I could justify the purchase to
my company. I caught Fred Golden's eyes lighting up when Martin was demoing
SPATH. The Skin stuff was great, the mesh optimizing was extremely useful. I
Gotta have 'em ch-ching.

Martin told me today that the machine he showed you the routines on was running
the old (1.0.0) Vibrant drivers, and since our routines are accelerated with
the newer drivers (the ones available here on the forum), what you saw wasn't
anywhere near as fast as they can really go.
Fun stuff, eh?

Gary,
is MartinD still working over at Sony Imageworks these days?
Martin left Sony in November and started his own company (with 2 other
partners) in NYC in January… KUB.

Gary,

I see. Thanks.

May I ask for additional details on the services Martin offers? NYC is just
around the corner and it would be great to have additional resources to call on
when we're in a pinch.
Feel free to give them a call. The KUB number is 212/925/6880.

Thanks for the info. I just spent about 45 minutes chatting with Martin and
our services seem very complimentary. As usual in this business, our work
comes in spurts and it's great to have such a resource nearby that we can call
on in a pinch.
Glad to hear it.

Martin:
No, your namesake was only there for a month or so, then went back east, New
York City I believe.

Greg,

Martin:
Anytime!
