I am having trouble getting a SCSI drive to work as a replacement for
my hard drive in my 3000. Can anyone tell me if C= made it imposssible
to get anything but a Quantum to work with a 3000?

Well John, I think we need a little more information from you before
someone can determine if your SCSI drive can be made to work. The 3000 can
be made to work with various types of SCSI drives, like CD-ROM, SyQuest,
etc. So what kind of drive is it? What kind of problems are you
experiencing? Have you used the HDInstall program to partition and
low-level format your drive?

Nope…just about any SCSI drive will work with an A3000. What
problems are you having, how do you have the drive setup (SCSI ID), is it
terminated, are you plugged into the host adapter internally or via the
external port, are you sure the drive itself is working?

I could not get a Rodime 210 to work, either. But it's possible that myself
or someone here could help you with info like drive name, size, model #,
the unit ID you have selected, which terminators you have on/off, whether
or not you're using reselect, etc.
