Hi there ! These are the facts which I have gathered this week (as opposed to rumours) ! 1: Commo has delivered the A4000T to al least 2 dealers I know of in germany. 2: Commo has more than tripled prices on Kickstart 1.3 & 2.04 chips for dealers in Germany. This is to make producers of Kick-Switches either sell them at much higher prices or stop production completly therby persuading more A500 owners to contemplate buying A1200 3: Commo dropped price of CD32 within germany to DM 499 (under $300). Commo wants to see CD32 together with the Communicator or Communicator Lite from Eureka (Holland) advertised as "external CDROM for Amiga 1200 " . It would obviously be positive if they could get Amiga owners to buy CD32 as well ! (My expectation : Amiga 1200 CDROM drive could now be given a much lower priority !) 4: MPEG modules started coming on the market again. The first batch went to Italy where Commodore is apparently doing VERY well at the moment. It seems to have been "let known" that Commodore monitors (1084S/1942) will not be on the market again for some time. Monitors from Microvitec appearing in Germany through many different sources. I get the impression that Commo want to concentrate on A1200/CD32 and are not too concerned about the monitors at the moment. Overall the mood at Commo this week was good. For the first time in weeks the trade in Germany was more worried about the lack of business due to the first warm days of the year than by the rumours surrounding Commodore. I stress again – the information I give is FACT. Regards Richard GTI germany

It's nice to see facts (good news facts even) rather than just rumor and opinion. Richard -> AutoPilot on the A1000

"(My expectation : Amiga 1200 CDROM drive could now be given a much lower priority !)" If Amigas don't get CD32 compatability, CD32 will die like CDTV did. -Chris
