#Comet trail w/Magic?

The only thing I might recomend without a specific question is that you adjust the life and total number of particles proportionately to the length of frames that the comet will be in view.

Any tips on creating a good looking trail/tail? >> If you happen to have Pennello, I've had some really interesting results with it, operating on particle animations. Use Lenz F/X or YG #1 routines on the particles. I like to render Magic particles with A/A OFF, then process the pixels with other routines, as above. You might use multiple instances to achieve a dense trail, with variations. BILL

Hi Brent. If you want a good and realistic looking comet, why dont you try the comet.axp from Schreiber Inc. with this ipas routine you got the full control over the trail. You can actually try it before you buy it. Ammanat H.

Hello Brent. The comet.axp is avalible from Schreiber Inc. (Denver) I the IPAS USAGE section is there a convertible demo of it. Try it before you buy it.The comet.axp is not sold seperatly, but with 5 other ipas routines.named IMAGINE FX. When you downloade this file , read the readme.doc file, it contains all the information you need. I hope you can use it.

Actually I was able to coax what I needed out of the Magic IPAS. I did try the Schriber Demo. Wasn't clear if the comet trail was able to curve… Brent Bonet – POP! Multimedia Atlanta
