Can someone please tell me what really effects the playback speed of a Flic file?. I have noticed that most Flic files play back slowly even on a fast PC. What can be done to speed up the redraws of a Flic file? Is it the video card? Any suggestions? Thank you. Jim

What software are you using to play the flics with? If you are using Animator Player for windows, I would make sure it is loading it into ram first (under File/Anim settings), otherwise it will just play from the HD. If your flics are too big to fit in RAM: A) Buy more RAM. B) Buy a blazingly fast video card (I can't tell you which one is best for this, I have been gleefully ignoring flics since I got the PAR) C) Do Both D) Do neither Playback speed is dependant on size of the flic, how much movement there is in the flic, the resolution, the hard drive, the speed of the processor, your video card, The position of the sun and planets, and the atomic weight of cheetos. 🙂

If you're playing the flic in 3DS, make sure you set Preview/Set Speed to a fast speed. Michele
