Sorry for the subject line, it's hard to put a message in 20 characters… I didn't find enough value in the R4 release of 3DStudio to warrant its purchase. I think it should have been R3.5. However, I am very interested in the move to NT. This kind of fundamental change is worth the price of an upgrade. My question is, will we be penalized for waiting for R5? In other words, will we pay more by upgrading from R3 than we would have if we upgraded to R4 just to get to R5? Peter Pauly.

Peter, I am sorry you feel like you didn't get your money's worth with the R4 upgrade. Many people feel the features introduced were very exciting. However, if you would like to send a letter to the product manager to express your feelings, please address it to: Autodesk Inc. Attn: 3D Studio Product Manager 111 McInnis Parkway San Rafael, CA 94903 Concerning your questions about R5, I am sorry, but I am not allowed to talk about future releases of 3D Studio. Closer to the release date, we will be able to discuss this, and can answer your questions then. -Brian
