=========================================================================== FREELANCE 3D-STUDIO ARTISTS WITH CREATIVITY AND SKILL! Our company, a multimedia software company in the SF Bay Area (San Mateo), always seeks new talent. Today, we have a critical shortage of 3D-Studio artists. We are looking for just that right balance between right-brain creativity and left-brain computer skill. I am Director of a new multimedia product which involves teams of artists and programmers in the USA, Japan, Russia, England, and lord only knows where else! So we really don't care where you want to work, so long as you are umbilically tied to the Internet and Compuserve. We call our genre "interactive fantasy". Our artists must work in fantasy yet on the edge of reality. The genre has multicultural and historical elements. Our Art Director (in England) is internationally famous in this genre. Here is a chance to work with a master! Send your resume of experience and skill, plus your rates and availability _electronically_ to the electronic/fax addresses below. Attach one or two JPeGs (not to exceed 100K each) which demonstrate your skill and imagination! No phone calls, please. Please mention which ad you are responding to. Thanks. Dennis J. Streveler, Ph.D. Director, ONYX VP, Product Development AnimaTek International San Mateo. email: strev@animatek.com CIS: 71036,1645 fax: 415 638-2182 (if all else fails!) ===========================================================================

Bonjour, Mr Streveler, ici encore une fois Philippe Desmarais, de Montreal. You might not remember me, so let me refresh your memory: I'm about to graduate from college and plan on working with my friends this summer on some 3D projects. We work with 3D Studio rel 4.0, and some powerful IPAS routines. I'm anxious to check out your infamous Bones Pro, Dennis… Anyways, I presently have nothing but hand-drawings to show you: I started out as a graphic artist. But the real reason I'm e-mailing you is that as was wondering if you'd be interested in working with me Compuserve way ( that's what I understood from a message you posted in a forum). I'd simply send you my work through cyberspace or mail and we'd work things out from there. I'm already doing that with some game developers who plan on programming some shareware 3D RPG. So tell me what you think about such correspondance, and let me know if you'd appreciate my immediate creative input ( ideas, storyboards, …). Salut bien!

Hey Dennis, I made the mistake of E-Mailing you through CSERVE instead of the ASOFT forum about a week ago. Sorry. We would love to talk to you about possible freelance work. Quick background…. we've been working with 3DS and directly with Gary for years now – I'm sure he'd would be willing to give you his candid opinion of our work. (76702,413 Gary Yost) A little more background – If you've seen the '94 Siggraph reel, we did the opening sci-fantasy animation. It was the one with the morph-from-a-puddle metallic guy in a stormy old warehouse. Anyway, we'd love to talk. Please give me a call at 404/658-9545 (Atlanta) Thanks a lot. I look forward to speaking with you. BTW, I'll be in Vegas for NAB…let me know if you'll be there…what a great chance to get together! Robert Taylor President, Taylor McCormick Graphics
