If you look in our Advertising, you will see that we say our
aMEGA Board has "No Forced Wait States." We feel that this is the most
accurate way to describe the product. As always we make no claims that
may mis-lead our customers. That statement may cost us a few customers,
but in the long run, well… we hope it will lead to more satisfied
customers.
Our instruction manual for our aMEGA Board spends several pages
dealing specifically with what causes wait states and how this affects
the end-user. Because the 'wait state' contraversy has died down as of
late, we are pulling that section from the next printing and replacing
it with some other information. But if you would like to read it, I can
post it to your EMAIL box.
I think I will do just that, then if you want to post some of
the information in a DL you can.

I would appreciate the info Ed. I am quite experienced with wait states of
course, having worked on memory both for micros and mainframes for some 20
years (when I started, 2 microseconds was good, 1.5 was excellent), but I can
always use another viewpoint, and I do want everyone to know exactly what is
meant when talking about different company's products.
