#Windows Player?

A client of mine is looking for a utility that will play flics either full
screen or in a window that there are no royalties to use or copyright emblem
that shows up. This will probably be used in Visual Basic.
They already have the "Autodesk" developers package but the fine print requires
a fee plus the "Autodesk" emblem to show up on animations, neither which is
desirable. If you are aware of such a beast, I would appreciate the info. and
will relay to developer. If they can find the .dll's or what ever is required
they say they want more animations. Without it the "well is dry."

I think you should re read that doc. I believe it says that the
Autodesk emblem has to be shown before you use the
DLL. In other words when you start up the app.
If this is any different let me know..

Actually, I never personally read the docs. I was told by the company I did the
animation for that they contacted Autodesk and were told that it would cost, I
believe $1.00 per unit that shipped.
They indicated that also the Autodesk copyright screen had to show up as well
and weren't happy. I'll talk to then again this weekend and get the fine
details.

With the Window .DLL for the animation player you can get a version of the .DLL
that does not have the copyright screen that you can use in your applications.
There is usually not a royalty fee, but there might be a one time charge. You

I will give them the number, although I believe they already called and found
out it would require $1.00 per unit and if I'm not mistaken, the copyright
screen had to show up.
I'm going to talk to them again this weekend and will get the scoop.

this is an old policy, and the $1 per unit was for the version that didn't have
the pop up screen.
