#PageSetter

Larry –
I got everything running fine at 9600 baud yesterday. I copied serial.devices
from 1.2 to PageSetter (which may or may not be necessary) and discovered
(while fiddling around) that there was another dip switch setting on the
printer that needed adjustment to xon/xoff. I set that (which I anticipate must
have been the main trouble) and everything worked fine.
Do you suspect that the 1.2 version of serial.devices made a difference?
Jack
I suspect that the serial.device change was part of the problem Jack, but can't
be sure in this particular case. I just went back to CLI and did a compare of
the 1.1 and 1.2 versions and they are different. If you're curious, you might
want to try the 1.1 version again to see if it was the DIP switch or the device
(or both). You won't hurt anything by trying it.
Glad it all works now anyway.
Regards, Larry.
When ever I try to print from Pagesetter under kick start 1.2 I get an error
message about the size of preferences being wrong? It prints fine under 1.1
though.
Thanks…I'll stick to 1.1 then.
