Hi Anne,
Sorry about the confusion. What I did was post the message (in the
Take 5/want ads section I think). In the Subject field of Create Forum Message I
typed forum advertising.Later, I was using Browse in the WinCim Messages
menu,just looking at nothing in particular,but I didn`t see my message.Lots of
other subjects but no forum advertising. When I used Search from the same menu
and typed forum advertising in the Subject field up came my message.
I`ve just had another look but couldn`t see it only this time when I used the
Search command the `No files found` window came up.I must be doing something
wrong….again!
BTW I`ve uploaded mumgif.zip again.I`ve used another pkzip command line which
worked fine without passwords on my PC.
Anyway,I hope I`ve made myself a bit clearer.
You`re a Saviour!
Steve Bradley.

Your message is there and I have just answered it. No idea why you had problems
seeing your own message. You won't get the same messages over and over again
every time you log on. To see older messages you have to set you r date back
under Messages, Set Date (if using Wincim).
There is a FREE practice section under Basic Services for WINCIM Support where
you might want to take a look at the finer points. I'll also watch for your
MUMGIF.ZIP file.

Steve,
PMJI, when using WINCIM you could do a MESSAGE/FRESHEN MESSAGES, once you've
entered a forum, to see your newly posted messages.

Paul,
Many thanks.Laziness and impatience determined that I skipped going to
the practice forum when I joined Compuserve so a lot of commands I never get
around to using until somebody points them out(isn`t that always the way with
software?)
Steve.

Yep, that's how I learned.
