I've just upgraded to a 486 today (with no MCP) from a 386 33mhz with an INTEL MCP. I just finished rendering a file in 3 hours and 20 minutes on the 486. It took 12 hours on the 386. I found myself actually watching the rendering info screen with glee each time the "current frame" number clicked forward. Alec Jason

That's great but, alas, we always yearn for more speed within a short time! <g>

I you watched for three some hours…frame by frame with glee….does that mean you also watched frame by frame for twelve hours???? Just wondering.

No, Robert. When it took 12 hours, the frames went by so slow that they failed to activate my glee glands. Alec Jason

Ooooooh! Listen…if you really want active glands….try watching the rendering on a Mitsubishi 35" data monitor. It is HOT! I also here they have a 37" out now….just under 10 G's.
