Hi All: I've downloaded the SEEZ.ZIP file and started using it in my Video Post stuff. Neat process; thanks Yost Group! However, in the documentation it mentions using SEEZ to do depth-of-field effects and such. It specifically mentions underwater scenes as possibilities. Can someone post a step-by-step walkthrough of how I would use SEEZ for this effect? Maybe how to blur a scene based on the objects' distance from a camera? Thanks in advance, MattMan.

Matthew, << Can someone post a step-by-step walkthrough of how I would use SEEZ for this effect? Maybe how to blur a scene based on the objects' distance from a camera? >> The SEEZ ipas will not work for depth of field effects because it doesn't support anti-aliasing. However there are two other ways of doing what you want. The first is covered in the book 3D Studio Special Effects. There is also an ipas called LenzFX that is sold by Digimation 1-800-854-4496 for $395. This ipas can blur a scene based on the objects in the scene distance from the camera. Mark

Mark, Do you know if LenzFX allows you to animate the focal length over time to get a rack-focus effect? I need to do a rack-focus or two for a project for my demo tape. Brian Schmitt
