Sad news: Another one bites the dust… BSC buroautomation AG (they made such nice products like the Oktagon SCSI-II controller, TandemCD+IDE, CD1200, Multiface card, ISDN Master) are leaving the Amiga market. Most of these products will be continued to be produced by AlfaData Technic Corp and can still be obtained directly from them or their distributers. The products AlfaData will produce are TandemCD+IDE, Oktagon, AlfaPower, AT2008, MultiFace card. What happens to the (in my opinion very good) ISDN-Master is still unknown. I personally was involved in the development of the "Mass-Storage" related products and I will continue to support the software for AlfaData. Oliver

Argggh. Did they ever sell many of the ISDN boards? They sounded great, really great, but was there much software support? Mr. Zombie

>> Argggh. Did they ever sell many of the ISDN boards? They sounded great, really great, but was there much software support? << Well, there was very nice software bundled with the card. It was written by a swiss company "Relog AG", they are ISDN specialists. I personally have no ISDN at home, so I don't use the ISDN Master. But I saw a demonstration of the "Wilhelm Tel" software which was quite amazing. The card was (well, is) also able to emulate a serial.device with a Hayes compatible modem, so every telecommunication program should be able to work with it. Oliver

I hope it finds a home. Anyway, thanks for the news, sad as it is. Mr. Zombie

Another nail to the coffin. Alas. I am using an Oktagon in my A2000 and it works pretty well. Think I should have upgraded the Roms (I see my old rig will not work with your new HDInstTool) – too late now, or maybe not? Do you already know who will distribute the AlfaData stuff in Germany? Hello Joachim, >> I am using an Oktagon in my A2000 and it works pretty well. Think I should have upgraded the Roms (I see my old rig will not work with your new HDInstTool) – too late now, or maybe not? Do you already know who will distribute the AlfaData stuff in Germany? << AB-Union (which is a 100% AlfaData daughter) will do the support. Their address is: AB-Union Electronic Lise-Meitner Str. 1 85716 Unterschleisheim Tel: 089-3211033 Fax: 089-3174957 They are currently preparing for the support and are installing a support mailbox, too. At the moment they are completely overworked and confused, as they are not familiar with the bsc products, so don't expect wonders if you contact them. They =SHOULD= have update ROMs within next weeks. The mailbox numbers will be: 089-14380790 089-14380791 089-14380792 089-14380793 089-14380794 (ISDN) 089-14380795 (ISDN) Oliver
