#AAPLAY for Windows

Arthur,
If you have The Multimedia Explorer then you have the Windows Player. If
you don't have the Explorer, please send in your registration card and it
will be sent to you as part of the bonus materials.
If you pick the "ABOUT" box on the Windows Player, it says that it is
freely distributable. I quote:
"This program may be freely distributed without modification, including the
copyright notice of Autodesk"
Please, no more of this Mr. Sergneri stuff. The name's John.
John
Thanks for the quick reply John,
I own the "Animator Pro", and have been told that there is NO upgrade path
to M.M.Explorer by my AutoDesk Multi-Media Dealer. I've sent in my
regestration card six (6) months ago, and have been told that the bonus
disk material was not available yet, which is why I have not recieved any
yet.
I could desparately use the Windows Player and wish there was a way to
download it from this forum. I would also appreciate any clerifications
you might have on the above two (2) issues John.
If you have a direct number I may dial to discuss this, please forward this
to me and I'll be more than happy to go thru my registration info with
whomever. Please do not send me thru your help line again, they do not
seem to be that helpfull.
Thank You again.
Sincerely, Arthur Alexander III
Arthur,
I don't know if you remember me, I'm Jay Parisi, I went to a user group
meeting in July I think.
Anyway, Email me your address and I'll send ya a copy of the Windows Player.
Jay
Hello again Jay!
Thanks for the time and trouble. If you can, please send it to me at my
work address. Alexis Computing, 21 Hyde Road, Farmington, CT 06032.
Hope to see you at our next meeting if possible. That will be on January
29, 1992 at the University of Harford, Ward School of Technology. (They
are hoping to become an Authorized Traing Center).
Lot's of New things to talk to you about.
Bye, Art

Your dealer is correct, there is no connection between the products.
Explorer is a "retail" product and is not sold by the MM dealers.
Please call our customer service department (or ask your dealer to do so).
The bonus packs have been shipping since November and all registered users
should have recieved the package by now.
We're not infallible and normally something will screw up when doing a
large mailing. You can send me an email with your telephone number and I'll
forward it to customer service. They should be able to help.
The Player has not been uploaded to CIS and is not available for
downloading.
John
John, I am curious as to your experience with the Explorer package. I
cannot get the premade scripts to run full screen or from memory. What is
the story here?
I would like to play four scripts simultaneously on my 20" monitor. I can
do this by opening four instances of the player, each running a single
animation.
The CD-ROM just can't keep up playing four scripts. I am thinking about
copying the files to my hard disk but if I can't play them from memory it
probably won't help much.
How many scripts can you run and what hardware are you using?
Thanks Mike
