Before you start AmiTCP, you need to make the ppp0 online. Do this by typing
online ppp0 making sure that ppp0 is already in your interfaces configuration.

Seems You use another startnet-script then me. I don't have to login (could
this cause any problems with a tcp-application??).

You have no PPP-connect, thus You have no IP-Address for Your computer. Make
sure PPP.device connects to CIS correctly!
