Too bad that AMosaic does not support forms, mailto:, and other common features now found on many web sites. In fact, if a web page has alot of gifs, the files all get loaded via the datatype into chip memory. I wish that didn't have to happen. -Jonathan MAC Quadra/486PC compatible courtesy Amiga, Emplant and BB. Emplant beta tester. Running AP v1.80. E-mail: JonathanB@delrina.com http://www.delrina.com

They're working on it, but yes, it does put Amigas at a disadvantage on the Web. With my Sun and OS/2 boxes on the network, it hasn't been such a big problem for me… 🙂 dale@iam.com http://www.iam.com Intangible Assets Manufacturing

By the way, browsing your http server, I saw your picture. It is interesting how I imagine what people look like based on conversations and only to find out they are totally different than I thought. I am using the 1.3 beta that I ftp'ed off of there site, but I don't see what additional features it has. -Jonathan MAC Quadra/486PC compatible courtesy Amiga, Emplant and BB. Emplant beta tester. The window history Menu works… 😉 ..well thats all that happened for me, oh, and the nice spinning line instead of the flashing dot… Any I idea on how to get the hotlist going? I have the Arexx scripts in place they show in the Rexx menu and they are un-ghosted in the Navigate menu but when selected nothing happens.. I'm off to your homepage now.. curiosity killed the cat and all that.. Steve

I haven't put any sites into my hotlist, but I will try that soon. I now just wish that Steve would make AP capable of accessing Compuserve via a telnet session (I can do it interactively) that way, I can stay hooked up to the net and grab CIS messages with AP. -Jonathan MAC Quadra/486PC compatible courtesy Amiga, Emplant and BB. Thanks Jonathon, I'll try and get a 4000 floppy drive.. (easier than arguing over a faulty one.. <g>) Oh, and I got the hotlist working on Mosaic, it was due to me being a Rexx virgin, a hour with my head in the manual that came with WB3.1 and it's working like a good 'un.. My wishlist is for mosaic to allow me to reply to the embedded questions within homepages.. Steve

Add the following two lines to envarc:mosaic/prefs : AddToHotlist add-hotlist JumpToHotlist "'jump URL file://localhost/env:Mosaic/hotlist.html'" don't forget to copy the prefs to env:mosaic/ if you don't restart your Amiga before using AMosaic. Instead of using the ARexx scripts you can also get the archive AMHotlistV1_50.lha from AmiNet. cya(o) Rainer Cya(o) Rainer ** Rainer Marks Otto-Speckter-Strase 17d 22307 Hamburg **

Thanks for the reply Rainer, I managed to fix the problem on my own steam, I had to use the Rexx manual to do it. Up until now I hadn't used Rexx, but I feel a new addiction coming on.. all those applications with Rexx ports are looking at me in a different way now… <g> All I did was change the actual line in the rexx menu to point at the HTML file (Which was already in ENV-Arc..), seems to be prettymuch what you said to do.. Thanks again, without this forum my Amiga wouldn't be the machine it is… Steve
