#dload problem tcp4.lha
8 messages in this thread
Help! I have downloaded tcp4.lha five times and every time it appears to
download properly (correct byte count and I can preview the contents) but
when I go to decompress it all I get is a 0 byte info file. I have
downloaded lots of other lha files in the past few days so I know everything
else is working.
Help.
Use the correct tool to decompress — LHA
Dah I use LZ for all other .lha files. Guess this used a different version.
I'll try LHA.

Are you using LHA to unpack it? Lots of these files just don't unpack with LZ
and some of the other things, but LHA138.RUN works on everything I've ever
tried.

Yup Betty you hit it right on the head. I have my DirWks setup to use LZ as
the auto decompresser and it has always worked on .lha files so this threw me
for a loop. I'll try again. Thanks for the hint.

I think you'd be happier if you set it to use LHA.

You have to use the LHA program. Earlier versions of LHARC programs will
decompress some files, but not all. LHA should handle it for you.

Steve…
Thanks. I guess I should have figured that out it just had never happened to
me before.
