I'm hardly any kind of WordPerfect for the Amiga expert, but it seems that the
program 4.1 went through a number of modest upgrades called updates. I believe
that conforms to the practice of the company back then, from 1986 to 1992, at
least. The latest version of 4.1 which I have seems to be called "4.1.12" –
and it the update manual pages for it were printed in December, 1990. This
update had a number of new requesters and features, and Preview was one.
Earlier updates to 4.1 did some important things, such as let 4.1 run correctly
on OS 2.x as well as 1.3, yet the program retained the overall title of "4.1"
It's a little confusing, in that over several years there seem to have been
several changes in the form of updates, all of which were for WordPerfect 4.1
for the Amiga.
Where did I get my WordPerfect? I bought it used not long ago from a man
on-line here who had kept his original disks and update disks and all the
manual updates in good order.
