Hi, I need of some advice or help in my career planning, specifically what "knowledge" or experience would I need to pursue a career in 'high-end' computer graphics/animation/rendering. I have contacted a few service bureaus in my area (Toronto, Canada) that are involved in the field, but no one has been cooperative. My educational background is in Architecture/Urban Design and have been Director of Computer Operations for an Architectural firm for over 4 years. Due to the poor economic climate and resulant work slowdown it has become very difficult for me to justify hardware/software purchases to the Principal. My Computing experience is also limited to DOS based systems: i.e. 3D in Autocad, Animator, Renderstar 2, Autoshade and the usual programs found in todays office. Where do I go from here? Please E-Mail your thoughts to me at 72567,3045 Thanks George Moroso
