I've got an interesting problem. I have a Supra 288 modem vfc. I used the ROM flasher recently uploaded by Supra Tech Support. Ever since then if I try using the modem over 9600 bps then, say with AutoPilot, after it dials, and instead if the connect message I get a string of characters, and there is no connection. I had the Prefs set to 19200, on AutoPilot setup it was set for 14400 bps, and 19200 link speed. I am using the modem right now with everything set to 9600 bps. Any higher, and I get the char string. Anyone ever run into this? —Speeding along at 14400 via AutoPilot Lou Yurcsak

The ROM flasher is for true v34 modems and not the vfc modems. You flashed the wrong firmware to the modem. -Jonathan MAC Quadra/486PC compatible courtesy Amiga, Emplant and BB. Emplant beta tester. Running AP v1.80. E-mail: JonathanB@delrina.com

There is one specifically for the VFC model as well, though. I reconnected the 288, but I can only use it at 9600, anything higher and the characters start to flow. Thanks, for the response, Johnathan. —Speeding along at 14400 via AutoPilot Lou Yurcsak
