Anytime you get a platform that is popular due to market position (and not
technical merit) you get some people that are quite mislead (making the
statements like the one above). All of the proffesional programmers I am in
contact with daily agree that the Motorolla design, and the Amiga in
particular, is superior.
This same argument happens with things like VHS vs BETA and Windows vs OS/2.
