#PAR/RAZOR question
4 messages in this thread
I'm running 3DS r4 (the 'what happened to the Splines?' version) and rendering
to a PAR. I'm about half finished creating a 90-second animation consisting of
25 independently rendered PAR animations. Eventually, I'll want to join those
animations. I think the JOIN feature is poorly documented in all versions of
the PAR text files. If I am reading correctly, I won't be able to join the 25
files at the *end* of the rendering part of the project. I needed to be
joining the various parts as each one was created. Right?
Now, I think there may be an answer to my problem in the Razor program.
Eventually, I'll want to synchronize a WAV file to the animation and I
*believe* Razor does that. Does it? If it will also allow me to edit my 25
scenes into one finished PAR project then I'll be one happy guy.
Am I barking up the wrong technological tree?
Thanks.

Yes! you can just render each animation to a file in the same project in the
par then join them all together by listing them in the proper order in the join
sub menu in PAR.exe.
Doug,
Thanks for the PAR 'Join' info. You saved me some bucks!

You can also join .ani files that are in different directories on the
PAR's HD. They will be assembled in the directory of the first .ani selcted,
under the name "temp.ani".
