I have a proposition to offer those who are good at writing scripts and feel they can do what I ask by Friday. The problem I am having is I need a script to do a certain thing, and I just don't have the knowledge to create it in a timely manner myself. What I need: I need a script that will take an object that is already fixed in its X,Y state (in this example, Z would be the up, axis) and place the object on top of another object. To be more specific (those that have been around here a while have heard me bring this up before), I have a tree, I want the tree to sit flat on the terrain so the bottom of the tree sits on the top of the terrain. I only want the tree to move on the Z axis, no rotation, no scaling, no nothing. I need to be able to select the objects by wild card, so I can filter out those I don't want to move around. Oh Yea, It has to work with upwards of 30,000 to 40,000 objects too. Sounds simple? Lets hope so. I have been battling with this project for months and spent a lot of time and effort on R & D on it and I need to start showing results, and this is the last hurdle I have to success. I have another project that could use this as well. As far as the rights to the script, you can keep them all, I don't want ownership or any of that, I just want to use it. My budget isn't large, so let me know what you think it is worth to you and hopfully we can work something out. Many, Many thanks to all who respond to my plight.

I would also like to add that friday would be an ideal deadline, but I can be flexible a little. If you feel the need, I can be contacted at (503) 646-5393 too.
