Why is it possible for the PC to read MAC disks but not the AMIGA?? I have read Steve Bradleys messages and replies from Betty Clay, Jochen Antesberger Gerald Dachs and Lepido Varcas, but i am still not convinced that the pc cannot read amiga disks or at least should be able to shaun

cause the amiga uses a 12 bit format fat table which a pc cannot handle for the life of it.the mac fat is simillar to a pcs and cause apple has released mac reading software for pcs and other companies had done the same.

shaun, That's because the PC isn't reading Mac formatted disks. They're reading Dos formatted disks that were formatted on the Mac with the AppleFile Exchange program. The Amiga, with CrossDos is quite capable of reading these disks as well. -Richard
