Carson, not on the topic of Term 4.3 but a different question. I notice we have basically the same system (before you added the above upgrade) even down to the modem we use. Have you found a BIG difference since adding DKB's MegaChip and the extra RAM onto the A2630 accelerator (DKB 2632 w/ 8 megs RAM)? It is something I'd like to do but with all the commotion (or shoud I say NO commotion) around C= I thought I might do better to save my $$. I'd appreciate your thoughts. Hi Guy, Well, the biggest difference in the upgrade has been that I don't run out of system memory when using programs like PageStream and importing large graphic files like I used to. I produce 3 newsletters. Start bringing in 1 meg. photos and you run out of RAM real quick. I now have 17 megs of system RAM, so I believe I'll be OK for awhile. The MegaChip is pretty much a must-have on its own. I thought the money for the 2632 card and the extra 8 megs RAM was a bit much, but what are you gonna do? At least now I have the ability to add any combination of 32 bit-wide RAM SIMMs whenever I need to, up to a total of 112 megs., without having to add any more hardware. For me, the $$ were well-spent. It was either that, upgrade my accelerator (which I don't have the $$ for), or buy a MAC or IBM system which I refuse to do and also can't afford. The only downside to the 2632 is that I had to move my hard card to an adjacent slot because the 2632 won't fit if you don't. Ergo, I lost a useable slot. But with Studio 16, the Toaster and a Kitchen Synch already resident, I don't know what else there is to add realistically anyway. Ideally, if you want my .02, the 2632 and the MegaChip are basic, everybody-ought-to-have-'em add-ons. The MegaChip comes in handy for graphic intensive programs like DTP and video. Will you notice a noticeable speed increase? I haven't. But then I'm not one of those guys that takes much notice of these things. The 2632 does enable the CBM 2630 card to use Burst Mode (whatever that means), which it won't do on its own–that the folks at DKB say makes the system run faster. I'd go for it. Regards, CarsonT
