What type of SIMMS are required with the DKB 3128 memory expansion
for the A3000/4000?

72 pin SIMMs with speed of 80 nanoseconds or faster. 1 meg by 32 (4 meg
modules), 2 meg by 32 (8 meg modules), 4 meh by 32 ( 16 meg modules), or 8 meg
by 32 (32 meg modules). You can use any combination or anything from 1 simm to
four. You can also use IBM 36 bit SIMMs – the Amiga will ignore the extra
parity checking bits.
SIMMs must be no taller that 1.25" and no wider than 4.6".
This information is directly from the manual that ships with the DKB 3128.

Many thanks. That's exactly what I was hoping. I gather you have one. Do

Just received one in a used A3000 that I bought. It was populated with 16 meg.
I really haven't had a chance to check it out yet with any of the software that
I use. On the machine it came with I was getting a lot of system crashes
(mostly with games that the previous owner had on his hard drive) but it may
have been that those games were not compatable with the 3.1 OS. I moved that
memory board and the hard drive to my A3000 and those problems were evident in
my computer also. I won't get a chance to load my programs onto the drive until
later this week. One problem I had was that whenever I made changes in
preferences the box would crash too. The changes I made did take effect on the
next boot so no harm was done. Many of the newer non-game programs worked with
no trouble.
I haven't heard of anyone else complaining about the board in this forum or the
Amiga Vendor Forum.
Let me know what programs you plan to use and if I have them I will check them
out first and report back to you. The first one I plan to try is VistaPro so I
can try to run a large animation from ram.
