I access CServe using Procomm +. Is there any way that I can either: 1) Download all of the messages in the 3DS area for offline reading? or 2) Continuously scroll through all of the messages so that I can capture them to a Log file for offline reading without having to individually read each message? My CServe documentation is several years old and any ideas would be helpful. Thanks, Mark Chamberso

Mark, Just open a capture buffer when you enter the forum and then type the following command……..REA THR NEW (or RT N) to read all the new messages for you in thread order. When you hit the end, just close your capture buffer. An easier way would be to get a comm program specifically designed for CIS. The two most popular for command line DOS are ATO (available from the IBMCOM forum, Library 1, and a Freeware product) or TAPCIS (available from the TAPCIS forum, Library 1, and a Shareware product). Either of these programs will maximize your on line usage, and will tend to save you some money. In truth though, all that will happen is that you will get more participation for your dollar…….<grin>.
