#A4000 FOR SALE

MegageM is still handling Amiga (genuine Amiga dealer), here in Santa Maria,
CA.
'Santa Maria' ?!?
How far down the coast is that from San Francisco?
(For some reason, I always thoough you were on the east coast?)
Thanks!
Erik Flom
Santa Maria, home of MegageM, is about 1/2 way from San Jose to LA. About 3.5
hours driving time from San Jose, due south on the 101. Easy to get here and
easy for MegageM to ship to or support customers in the Bay area.
What's the address of your physical location? I live in Ventura and one in a
while, I head up to Santa Maria, so maybe I can stop by one day.

Actually, it's too bad you're in CA. I generally shop mail order to avoid
the in-state taxes.
Keep the faith, though! There have to be lots of people like me mailing
form _other_ states!

Your Sales Tax complaint is a common one – it really makes us CA dealers less
competitive in California. Sometimes I sadly tell customers "I don't get to
keep it, the Sales Tax goes to the Governor so he can build more prisons". It
adds nearly 8% to the cost of everything – ludicrous.
It is ludicrous, and as you say, unfortunate.
I wish I had the extra 10 percent, then I could support local
businesses….(Oh yeah, let's go to a straight national sales tax..now
there's a good idea! :^)

I'm terrified by the idea that Congress might force me to collect sales tax for
all 50 states. I'd be out of business in a hurry — I'm just too small to be
able to do the paperwork without it being a very significant part of my
overhead. Heck, I'm tempted not to take orders in PA just because the small
number of orders in PA probably costs me more in the time to do my sales tax
filings than I earn in sales…

Erik, PLEASE write that down and send it to our prison-construction- happy
governor, Pete (I will serve my whole term as governor) Wilson.
Yep, sure does. I wish ole Pete would get off his ascii and fix some of the
damn ripples in the freeway. I like amusement park rides at the amusement park!

BTW, I am enjoying the H*ll out of the Fractal Images CD. I have been trying
out different images as reflection maps with some excellent results.
Didn't you have a program that will allow users to generate their own fractals?
Cheers,
Stan Shumlick
All this and Rock and Roll too!
Thanks for asking (and the very kind words about the FractalPro Image Library
CDROM) – of course anyone with a even moderately powerful Amiga can use the
FractalPro program itself to create not only individual fractal images like on
the CDROM but also incredible fractal animation sequences (very cool for
LightWave image mapping 'sequence' importation). Of course, FractalPro means
taking some time to explore and render – hence the rationale for the CDROM.
The FPILV1 CDROM is chock full of some of the best FractalPro images I've found
over the years and represents thousands of hours of exploring and rendering in
FractalPro. I'm hoping to release FPILV2 in the next few months. And MegageM
has a library of tens of thousands of image animation sequences, which can be
viewed on the FractalPro, The Movie video (30 minutes of outrageous fractal
animation, Toaster effects, etc.). FractalPro has been favorably reviewed over
the years and most recently its capabilities were featured on the cover of
Amiga World February 1995 issue.
PMFJI but ARE you famil_u_lare with the the emplant and its installation? I
sure could use some help…how much do you charge?
Jack Finks
Jack, I'm familiar a bit with emplant but have never used it myself nor
installed it for any of my customers. I bet if you post a general question
here in this forum, plenty of Emplant fans will RUSH to your aid. If you are
nearby Santa Maria I'll be glad to help you personally – I'm FEARLESS.
ThankYou for the offer…
Actually i live in Orcutt, so yes i live fairly close<G>. i just may take you
