I have a question. I just purchased the textures of yours from Schrieber. It comes with some material libraries, including a Rock.MLI, full of granites, marbles & such. the only problem is that they all seem to be the same two or three textures. I thought I was still in demo mode, but I checked and I can bring up the dialog box and change the settings, so I can only figure maybe the copy of the MLI file I got is tweaked in some way. Care to comment?

Ask Schreiber for the unlocked versions. They will work with the *.mli. There is no real problem with the soft ware. The programmer set the iteration on the unlocked version to a value of 1 to 100 and on the locked version 1 to 8. I created the textures in the *.mli files with the unlocked versions. I just havn't had time to redo them. If you have any problems let me know and I will send the unlocked versions to you. Mike

If you wouldn't mind sending them, I would apprecieate it. I have the official documentation and disks on the way already, but it is going to be probably until tuesday before the package gets here. I'd like to check them out before then.

In my copy only the materials involving the GRANITE.SXP were all the same. My guess is that the Granite parameters are getting lost. Ian.

It turns out that MLI's shipped with the demo are all fiddled with, so Mike was kind enough to send me the unlocked MLI versions and they all look fine.

Are you using the locked versions or unlocked ? Mike White [SDP]

Mike, I started out with the locked then updated to the unlocked. But I don't think the unlocked version came with the mli. Am I wrong? That would be too bad 'cause the mli textures are VERY impressive. (the ones I've seen!) Ian.

The locked version *.mli's will work with the versions you have. The *.mli's that came with the locked versions, I used the unlocked versions to make the textures. If you have any more questions please ask. Mike

Well I have the ROCKS.MLI from the locked version but all of the materials that use GRANITE.SXP appear all the same in the material editor. Ian.
