Alex: PMJI, Greg Pyros offers a set of utilities for the PAR. Included with the PAROUT utilities is one called PARCTL which is an IXP which you operate from within 3DS r4. This utility gives you the ability to control your PAR without exiting from 3DS. Also, if you have the PAR software v1.09 or earlier, this will fire up from within 3DS by simply going to the DOS prompt. Later versions of the PAR software don't fire up for me from within 3DS. Bob

To the Pyros fella, I am a 3d entusiast, using acad and 3ds. I have been unsuccessfully been trying to see the par card in action and see sample output to svhs or beta. can you or do you know someone would sell me some sample stuff on svhs so I can get an idea of the output quality I could expect? I cant find anyone here in San Antonio to help me out. I have read rave reviews, but also some conflicting things about the Par. I am not expecting jurassic park, but at least something better then what a stock fast computer is capable of. with all the mpeg accelerators/ jpeg stuff coming out I cant find out or tell what be the best way to go to tape. It would be easy if all the manufactures sent me sample of output. like that would ever happen.thanks.

Where are all those dealers when you need them? >> can you or do you know someone would sell me some sample stuff on svhs We only use the PAR for half-size tests, all our final output is through an Accom system. Seriously, there are enough dealers roaming about on this forum that someone should be able to jump in. Greg Pyros
