Matt, if the area filled by the gradient is bordered by a solid color, you can use the FillTo tool to cover over the gradient. – G

I'll guess that you're talking about either Animator or Animator Pro. If there's single-color border around the gradient area, use the Fill To tool; click on the border, then click within the border. If there's no border around the gradient area, but the gradient area is against a black background, use the Edge tool on the black background to create a border around the gradient, then use the Fill To tool to fill the gradient with another color, then use the Sep tool to get rid of the border. If the gradient it in the middle of a complicated arrangement of beautiful, colorful pixels…you really should back up your files as frequently as possible <g>. Actually, you can simply use the Sep. tool in Cluster mode, put the gradient of colors in the cluster box and separate out the whole gradient to whatever ink you wish. There are probably a few other ways to do it, but that should give you a start. By the way, the reason you can't use the Fill tool to fill a gradient, is because Fill only works on a contiguous group of pixels using the same color. – Jack
