#3D Studio driver, Viper
3 messages in this thread
Hello,
I'm a new user of 3DS R4, and a former user of 3DS R2. My computer has a
Diamond Viper VLB video card. WHen I bought the card, it came with some extra
software called SoftEngine which included drivers for 3DS R1 and R2. Can anyone
tell me where I can get drivers for R4??! Is diamond on CIS? I noticed in
3DS.SET the VESA lines, with a default mode of 63, but that doesn't work with
my card.

Thanks a WHOLE lot!

Have you checked out the installation guide? Since R3, 3ds uses an inline
driver system. At the 3ds prompt, type '3ds vibcfg', find your video card and
set your resolutions. I recommend getting the latest version of the drivers
from the forum here (1.0.6). do a keyword search on "vibrant" and they should
turn up.
