They are right about 500c….it's slow. BUT not only that, I've found it
is very difficult to use (actually I have a 500, just b/w) working with
different software (1-2-3, WP5.1) and w/o the special paper…you can
forget it. The lines bleed bad, especially if you bold.
The best color printer that I've found is the QMS-100 Color Laser. It uses
thermo (there is always a drawback) but the 300 dpi looks great. Plus it's
postscript so there's less jags in the lines….fast…and works great w/
corel.

Funny, the previous messages didn't seem to indicate a need for "special
paper" on the 500C…
I had a bad experience with a QMS Postscript printer in the past…
Not a maintenance problem, just not happy with the print quality (my HP LJ
III with a Pacific Page PostScript cartridge blew away the QMS accross the
board)… But that doesn't mean I'm not interested — I guess I can try
again…
Any input on $$ ?
