Hi, I am trying to morph a wire material into a solid material. Anyone have some pointers for me. Thanks in advance… -Paul PS- Selecting the morph material option doesn't seem to work.

Paul: The last time I did this I morphed between copies of the same object with different material designations. I don't recall, however, if I had to do it this way.

You'll probably get a lot of responses, Paul, but you can't morph a wire into any other kind of material — it's in the manual but rather buried. Use Video Post and dissolve between two animations created with different materials. This is the only way I know, but it works just fine.

Hi Mike, I did what you suggested and this was exactly what I wanted. It was so simple, Sometimes I just forget the power of Video Post. Thank you much… -Paul PS- Thanks to everyone who responsed.

>>I am trying to morph a wire material into a solid material.<< Perhaps using using the Wire Frame setting for the source object material to morph into your destination object that is mapped solid. Since wire frame mode renders all visible edges, you'll need to make unwanted edges invisible using the Autoedge command. I did this for a morph of an automobile body from silver wire mesh to finished bright red with very satisfactory results. Hope this helps! Bill
