Is Razor Pro WinNT–will it work with the soon-to-be-released WinNT PAR?

The RP/NT software is in progress and should be ready about the same time as
the PVR/NT version. If not, the Razor Pro/Win 3.1 version will work with the
PVR/Win 3.1, you won't be left hanging without a NLE and player.

Could you larify for me? If by some chance PAR/NT comes out before RAZ/NT can
I run RAZ/Win 3.1 with PAR/NT?
Also I am just purchasing a Pentium PC ; are there any obvious board
incompatibilities you know of with the PAR board and the SCSI ii(prob Adaptec)
board,wavetable sound card, exabyte(SCSI card) out, etc. Are there are
well-known incompatibilities, or anything else I should know about to ease

First I would like to clarify what you are looking for, the PAR or PVR
software/hardware? The Perception Video Recorder/PVR will be the board of the
future (at least for the near future, until the next revelation comes out). The
PAR/NT software should be ready real soon, it was running at NAB, as for the
PVR/NT version it should be sometime around SIGGRAPH- Aug/Sept.

together, but don't forget that the PVR will/should run under Windows 3.1 with
Razor Pro.
Are these questions about RP/PVR leading to your NT compatibility questions?
If so, I think all of our 3D utility software will be here by the years end, so
trying to switch 100% NT before then is going to be a battle!
About the compatibility of your hardware, my best suggestion is to stay with
the name brand hardware manufactures and you will be safe, IN:SYNC does
recommend the Monterey sound board by Turtle Beach Systems and the Exabyte is
supported directly by NT. The only thing else you will need is mega megabytes
of RAM.

Mike, I would love to wait for the PVR to come out, but I have
30minutes–minutes of animation frames that need editing now (since a dealer
"broke" my Amiga PAR). Converting to PCs running WinNT, I want as many NT
elements as possible.
The compatibility questions were a different thread of thought–just trying
to tap your experience in the PC field. Thanks for the info, Chris
No problem Christie glad to help, Jamie is at Comdex, about your question with
the sound card, the Turtle Beach Monterey is highly recommended by
IN:SYNC/Jamie, but I have not seen the NT drivers yet. I am sure Turtle Beach
will have the drivers by the time we need them with RP and the PVR.

At the moment the NT drivers for the Monterey from TB are not beiing published
by TB but there are some available in their forum area. Call In Sync to see
what they are recomending for sound cards for their NT software.

As they say, watch this space. In SYNC says Turtle Beach sound card but that
is before the PAR, PVR, etc NT drivers are out…. Chris

The progress has been real good on the Windows NT version.
We were showing a preliminary version at NAB last week and
we will be ready June 1 on multiple platforms with PAR/
Perception support.

It was suggested I check with you about what sound cards you suggest for
NT? I am trying to suss out incompatibility problems for WinNT before ordering
