#FACEFL.ZIP

I used the instructions that you posted and created a map from the head of a
character I am creating. It appears that it came out similar to your example. I
am having trouble however mapping the newly created and colored map back to my
modelled head. Do I use the map with the areas of black on either side of my
image or do I cut out the face part and paste to a new file? What kind of
placement did you use to map it back to the object? Did you wrap in z and x or
just z or what? I am probably doing something stupid? I would appreciate any
hints you could give me. I am still new at Imagine 3.x.

Hi Rich,
There is a second file in the Imagine library called Faceflap 2 (FCFLP2.ZIP).
It shows an example of applying a map, and might answer your questions.
You wrap z, using all of the compiled image from your animation.
For a good fit it seems fairly important to crop the black neatly. If you
accidentally crop into your object image, Imagine seems inclined to stretch the
map in that direction, which requires correction in fitting.
Your name looks familiar. I think we've talked in GRAPHDEV, possibly about
FTPOV.
