I know that the autorequester does what I want my routine to do because I can call autorequestor, resize while it's still active, cancel it, and my main loop sees the NewSize message. If I only had the source to autorequester. Thanks, Mike.

When open your requester, try using the NOISYREQ flag. I believe this is only in v1.2. This will let the requester pass other IDCMP events. – Steve –
