I am trying to network the Amiga with IBM AT. in the folowing manner:
1) Amiga wiil be the HOST computer doing all HardDisk,And
controlling a Hewlett Packard plotter ,Epson printer.
2} also a modem will be hooked to the Amiga to handle
messages from other AMiga and/or remote computers.
3) the IBM's will be running AutoCAD most of the time (90%).
one of the reasons to choose or think of the amiga doing this is
because a VAX or SUN costing 20K+ will more or less do the same.
Now the Amiga 2000 (when is out!) will have a 68020/68881 card,
As much RAM as possible (9Meg) the biggest HardDisk we can get
100Meg and more, the IBM card (a 286 will be nice).
If this is possible, where can i find a dealer/company that can
ofter me all the tools that i need to get this done. We Are one
of the Largest Architectural Firms on the USA and also will
like to use the Amiga to do 3D Animation of Commercial Buildings
to show to future clients. if you have all this or part of it
please E-Mail me or call me at
(714) 833-9193 California time.
Also i know that some company was working on a HAM 3D animation
program ($3,000) where is this firm…?

Ed,
I know I pointed you at this company in CO tonight, but here it is again for

Ameristar Technologies makes a couple of different networking boards, one is
ARCNet, and the other is an EtherNet board.
